Job summary

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment is recruiting for Warehouse Operatives in Lutterworth to join a growing team within a manufacturing and distribution business.

Passengers will work 42.5 hours per week on a Monday–Friday pattern, 06:30–16:00 or 08:00–17:30, with a permanent contract and a salary of £30,500 per year. The role requires FLT licensing and forklift experience, plus a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience.
• Must hold a valid FLT licence.
• Experience operating a forklift in a busy warehouse.
• Comfortable handling and moving heavy materials.
• Gantry crane experience would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of health and safety within a warehouse environment.
• Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading containers and trailers carrying heavy materials.
• Operating a forklift to move and position materials safely.
• Using a gantry crane to handle heavy materials.
• Moving stock around the warehouse.

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join a growing team at a well-established manufacturing and distribution business based in Lutterworth.

Following significant expansion and the relocation of their Head Office and Distribution Centre, our client is building a new warehouse team and is looking for reliable and experienced individuals to join them on a permanent basis.

The Role

As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring workloads are completed safely, efficiently and productively, while supporting the wider warehouse operation.

Duties will include:

• Loading and unloading containers and trailers carrying heavy materials

• Operating a forklift to move and position materials safely

• Using a gantry crane to handle heavy materials

• Moving stock around the warehouse

• Inspecting stock and reporting any damage

• Recording stock movements using a mobile terminal

• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment

• Working as part of a new team to achieve departmental and facility objectives

Hours & Salary

• £30,500 per annum

• 42.5 hours per week
