As the Stock Control and Administration Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of stock records and the smooth flow of documentation across the warehouse operation. You will work closely with your team on the ground, driving consistency, accountability, and high standards across all areas- from stock integrity to dispatch processing. This is not just a supervisory role- it is a visible, active position that requires presence, engagement, and ownership.

You will be leading a capable Stock and Admin team, where everyone’s input matters. Your ability to guide, support, and develop others while ensuring operational excellence will be key to success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Open the warehouse daily (key holder responsibility) – shift starts at 6:00 AM (access from 5:45 AM) and ends at 2:00 PM.
  • Lead and support the warehouse team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Manage stock control processes, including inventory tracking, replenishment, and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to stock movements and warehouse activities.
  • Support administrative tasks related to logistics, stock audits, and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and company policies.

The Team Leader will work with the Stock & System Supervisor & Hub Manager as part of the Hub leadership team and will share the responsibility for the day to day running of a busy admin. The admin team leader will deputies for the Stock & System Supervisor during periods of holidays and absence.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Lead the daily execution of stock control routines, including cycle counts, adjustments, investigations, and accurate system updates.
  • Support and guide the team in real-time stock checks and resolution of discrepancies directly on the warehouse floor.
  • Oversee and contribute to all admin-related tasks, including despatch paperwork, stock reporting, and hub metrics input.
  • Ensure all updates to the warehouse management system (SAP) are timely, accurate, and complete.
  • Be the first point of contact for your team regarding stock and admin queries, task assignments, or process clarification.
  • Collaborate with the Stock Control Supervisor to identify, report, and resolve recurring stock issues or system discrepancies.
  • Maintain strong visibility across all storage zones—racking, floor locations, quarantine, and returns—to uphold stock integrity.
  • Keep comprehensive records for internal audits, inventory checks, and required operational reporting.
  • Uphold and promote company health & safety standards and maintain clean, organised working environments.
  • Provide practical support during staff absences, sales volume peaks, or other operational challenges.
  • Play an active role in onboarding and training new team members, ensuring they understand procedures and expectations.
  • Drive a culture of ownership and accountability within the team, encouraging open communication and continuous improvement

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Proven experience in a warehouse stock control/ admin or warehouse operations-focused role is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example in a hands-on, supportive, and engaging manner.
  • Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS), ideally SAP, and strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of stock and admin handling.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to coordinate tasks, resolve issues, and motivate others.
  • Resilient under pressure, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage changing priorities.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety standards and operational compliance within a warehouse environment.

WE VALUE:

  • Experience using SAP or similar warehouse management systems.
  • Sound knowledge of inventory control principles and logistics administration processes.
  • An interest in process improvement and a willingness to share ideas and contribute to operational development.
  • Customer Focus: Prioritise customer needs and ensure timely, accurate delivery.
  • Integrity: Operate with transparency and fairness in all interactions.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively across teams and departments to achieve shared goals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Embrace change and strive for operational excellence.
