Job summary

The Range in Wakefield is seeking a Warehouse First Line Manager to join our Distribution Centre on a full-time basis. The role involves leading a team of around 50 colleagues, reporting to a Shift Manager, and working a rotating shift pattern, five days out of seven.

You will drive process improvements, manage stock inbound and despatch, maintain health and safety standards, and collaborate with inventory, planning and HR to meet KPIs and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a warehouse team of ~50.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of health & safety standards in a DC environment.
• Familiarity with warehouse systems (Red Prairie) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of ~50 colleagues within the distribution centre.
• Oversee inbound receiving, put-away, picking, despatch, and stock control.
• Drive process improvements while maintaining Health & Safety as a priority.
• Collaborate with inventory, H&S, planning and HR to meet KPIs and deadlines.
• Coordinate resources to changing demands and ensure on-time performance.
• Handle shift handovers and staff engagement through pre-shift briefings.
