Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Sherburn in Elmet is seeking a Warehouse Team Leader to join the ASDA contract. You will lead a team of warehouse operatives, coordinating activities to meet objectives and stepping in for the Shift Manager when needed.

This permanent role is 4 on 4 off, from 7 am to 7 pm, offering training opportunities and a focus on health and safety within a dynamic logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Previous Team Leader experience in a fast-paced logistics environment.
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities and plan/organise warehouse operations.
• Strong IT skills including warehouse systems and Microsoft Office; excellent communication (verbal & written).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of warehouse operatives, co-ordinating their activities to meet set objectives and take charge in the absence of the Shift Manager
• Ensure that training and development requirements for Warehouse Operatives are regularly carried out
• Identify and investigate warehouse operations and look to resolve any issue within a timely manner
• Support the management team with projects and initiatives, also actively supporting the site engagement and community strategy
