Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc is recruiting for a Shift Manager to join our ASDA operation in Sherburn-in-Elmet. This full-time role runs a 4 on, 4 off night shift (19:00–07:00) and focuses on leading warehouse operations, developing teams and achieving safety, quality and customer KPIs.

You will work with operational support functions and site leadership to deliver operational excellence, maintain a safe and engaging environment, and drive continuous improvement across shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience within a warehouse, logistics or supply chain environment.
• Strong people management and coaching skills, with experience developing teams and driving operational performance.
• Experience managing KPIs, productivity, service levels and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Good understanding of warehouse management systems and operational reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the warehouse operation throughout the shift, ensuring productivity, quality, service and customer KPI targets are met.
• Develop and coach Team Leaders and warehouse colleagues to drive a high-performance culture.
• Drive health, safety and environmental culture, ensuring training and incident investigations are thorough.
• Monitor performance against operational and financial targets, identifying opportunities for cost savings and improvements.
• Build relationships with customers and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment.
