GXO Logistics, Inc. in Sherburn in Elmet is recruiting a Warehouse Team Leader to coordinate and develop a busy warehouse operation on a 4 on 4 off 7am-7pm shift.

You will lead a team of operatives, ensure training, drive safety, and support management with projects and engagement initiatives. The role offers a salary up to £29,580 per annum plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Previous Team Leader experience within a fast-paced logistics environment.
• Ability to plan and organise a warehouse operation and manage conflicting priorities.
• Strong IT skills, including warehouse systems and Microsoft Office; excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of warehouse operatives, coordinating activities to meet objectives and cover shifts in the Shift Manager's absence.
• Ensure training and development requirements for Warehouse Operatives are regularly carried out.
• Identify and investigate warehouse operations issues and resolve them promptly.
• Support management with projects, initiatives and the site engagement strategy.

Here at GXO, we are looking for aWarehouse Team Leaderto join our ASDA contract in Sherburn in Elmet. You will assist and support the management team to achieve and meet both the customer’s and operations expectations while ensuring colleagues are meeting all Health and Safety requirements.

This is a permanent, full-time position, working on4 on 4 off days - 7 am to 7pm

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Lead a team of warehouse operatives, co-ordinating their activities to meet set objectives and take charge in the absence of the Shift Manager
• Ensure that training and development requirements for Warehouse Operatives are regularly carried out
• Identify and investigate warehouse operations and look to resolve any issue within a timely manner
• Support the management team with projects and initiatives, also actively supporting the site engagement and community strategy

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Previous Team Leader experience within a fast-paced logistics environment
• Experience managing conflicting priorities, with the ability to plan and organise a warehouse operation
• Strong IT skills, including warehouse systems and Microsoft Office Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
