Job summary

Masstemps Ltd in Tipton is seeking a Team Leader to oversee a small team and manage daily warehousing duties. The role is hands-on, requiring practical supervision of Goods In/Out, scanning and pallet handling.

You will coordinate tasks, communicate instructions, and ensure smooth operations from 9:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday, with a competitive pay rate. Experience in warehousing and a proactive approach to team management are essential, along with the ability to operate standard warehouse

Qualifications

• Experience leading a small team in a warehousing or goods-in/goods-out environment.
• Ability to clearly communicate instructions and delegate tasks.
• Willingness to perform hands-on, operational duties and use standard warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and organise a team of around 5 people.
• Communicate instructions clearly and allocate work.
• Relay information between team and management.
• Book goods in on arrival and update the system.
• Manage Goods In / Goods Out processes.
• Answer calls from deliveries and respond to emails when required.
• Open the factory in the morning as key holder and monitor alarms.
• Scan goods with handheld devices and assist with pallet wrapping and pumping.

Team Leader - Tipton

The role involves working with a small team of around 5 people and is a hands-on position.

Main duties:

• Leading and organising a team of 5
• Clearly communicating instructions and allocating work
• Giving and taking instructions and relaying information to the team
• Booking goods in on arrival and updating the system
• Managing Goods In / Goods Out
• Answering calls from incoming deliveries
• Answering the work mobile regarding delivery arrivals during working hours
• Responding to emails when required
• Opening up the factory in the morning - key holder also setting fire alarms
• Scanning goods - hand held scanner
• Wrapping pallets
• Using a pump truck
• General hands-on support with the team

Hours: 9.00am - 6.00pm Mon - Friday

The company is offering up to £14ph, depending on experience
