Job summary

Great Bear in Sheffield is seeking a confident Warehouse Team Leader to steer a fast-paced operation. You will lead a team of warehouse colleagues, drive performance, and ensure health, safety, quality and customer service standards are met every day.

In this role you will support the Shift Manager by mentoring staff, delivering clear briefings and coaching individuals to maximise performance. You will oversee goods in, storage and dispatch, while maintaining accurate records and compliant

Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse experience, ideally within a fast-paced operation.
  • Previous team leader or supervisory experience in a similar environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to share information clearly and confidently.
  • Able to prioritise workloads effectively and meet deadlines in a busy operational environment.
  • A proven ability to motivate teams and help deliver or exceed targets and KPIs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, organise and support a team of around warehouse colleagues across the operation.
  • Drive shift performance to ensure productivity, service and operational KPI targets are consistently achieved.
  • Promote high standards of health, safety, hygiene and compliance, making sure all processes and records are completed accurately.
  • Carry out quality and compliance checks to ensure the operation meets customer and audit standards.
  • Deliver team briefings and clear communication so colleagues stay informed, engaged and focused on priorities.
  • Support the smooth running of goods in and warehouse operations so stock is received, handled and made available efficiently.
  • Coach, support and develop team members to maximise performance and encourage progression.
  • Support people processes, including investigations, disciplinary and grievance matters, in line with company procedures.

Job description

Shift Pattern

5 days out of 7 on a continuous rotating shift pattern for example:

  • Week 1: 06:00 - 14:00
  • Week 2: 14:00 - 22:00
Salary

Salary: £12.71 per hour, plus a £1.00 per hour Team Leader supplement, giving an annual salary of £26,734 . Overtime is paid at 1.5x the hourly rate for all hours worked above 37.5 hours per week .

Role Overview

We are looking for a confident and hands‑on Warehouse Team Leader to join our Sheffield operation. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a fast‑paced, modern warehouse environment where you will lead a team to help deliver excellent service for a range of key customers.
