Job description

Warehouse Team Leader,

Temporary to Permanent for the right candidate, 4 on 4 off day and night rotation after training 6am - 6pm days and 6pm - 6am nights. Pension, Free Parking, Retail Discounts, Health Cash Plans to include Hospital, Dentist and Optical

Working within a major distribution depot, you will be a key member of the warehouse as a team leader, ideally with experience within the FMCG industry, but not essential as attitude toward working ethics is more important.

You can expect to be:

• Operating 4 different types of FLT to include VNA, Counterbalance and reach trucks


• Assist the shift managers


• Manage and motivate the team ensuring KPI's are achieved


• Develop and train new and existing team members


• Manage goods inwards


• Disciplinary and grievance management


• Shift plan and cover holiday and sickness


• Carry out daily briefings to ensure staff are aware of their daily duties


• Health and safety check ensuring the company policy is followed at all times


• Knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook


• Maintain stock integrity and report findings to the Stock Manager

This would be an ideal role for someone with forklift truck experience. You should be comfortable with working at heights of up at 12 meters using the VNA truck. If you have been a warehouse operative within a distribution setting or have used reach, counterbalance, telescopic or VNA trucks this would be a great opportunity for you.
