PD Ports, a leading UK port business, is seeking a Warehouse Team Leader in Felixstowe. The successful candidate will oversee a large team, manage safety protocols, and ensure efficient warehouse operations. A vacancy has arisen for a full time Warehouse Team Leader at PD Ports based in Felixstowe. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a large team of staff including agency staff, in a fast moving, constantly developing operation and resolving day-to-day operational and resource issues in our Specialized Warehouse.
Location: Felixstowe
The four main things our Warehouse Team Leader will be working on are:
• Managing Risk Assessments
• People Management
• Managing Safety Database information/Stock and Health and Safety Management.
• Ensuring loading and receipt of produce, ensuring correct storage methods and procedures are
adhered to, as well as being responsible for instructing, coaching, and developing the Warehouse
team on these.
We are seeking someone who:
• Grade C or above in English and Maths. Ideally with their own transport; a full driving licence is
required.
• Has experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Has WMS
Experience, an understanding of logistics and warehousing knowledge. As well as experience in
operating in line with BRC expectations. The candidate will be required to operate machinery at
height using a high-level order picker licence. However, training will be provided if necessary.
• Has excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and great interpersonal skills and the
ability to build rapport at all levels with proven experience in managing teams, dealing with conflict
management and staff performance.
