Job summary

DHL, a leading supply chain business, is seeking a Warehouse Team Leader to coordinate daily logistics requirements on-site in the United Kingdom. The role requires supervising warehousing activities, tracking orders with an in-house system, and ensuring health and safety compliance.

You will report on performance, cover for other Team Leaders when needed, and lead by example to achieve KPIs while utilising logistics software. DHL offers a range of benefits and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous and practical experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader within a logistics environment is essential.
• Knowledge of warehousing procedures including storing goods and dispatching orders.
• Ability to lead by example and meet KPI targets.

Responsibilities

• Report on and monitor the effectiveness of warehousing activities and performance in your area.
• Track and trace orders using the in-house tracking software, keeping records up to date.
• Promote and monitor Health and Safety on site, including manual handling requirements.
• Provide absence cover for other Team Leaders within the operation.
• Prepare and distribute volume orders.
• Be computer literate with practical knowledge of logistics software packages.
• Lead a team to successfully meet KPIs.

To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods and dispatching orders. WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• To directly assist management by reporting on and monitoring the effectiveness of all warehousing activities and performance in your designated area
• To track and trace orders using a digital in-house tracking software system, ensuring that records are maintained and kept at optimum level
• To promote, adhere to and monitor Health and Safety requirements on site, including manual handling health and safety requirements
• Support with absence cover for other Team Leaders within the operation
  Previous and practical experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader within a logistics environment is essential
• Previous experience of preparation and distribution of volume orders
• Computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages
• Ability to lead by example and lead a team to successfully meet KPI's
