Job summary

Metro Supply Chain UK is seeking a Team Leader at our Thetford site to lead the warehouse shift and ensure top service levels for clients. The role involves hands-on warehouse tasks as well as guiding and mentoring colleagues to maintain efficient daily operations.

We value strong organisational skills, safety culture, and the ability to prioritise workloads on busy shifts. Experience with MHE is essential and cross-training is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
• MHE licences (Bendi, Counterbalance, PPT) or willingness to refresh.
• Experience mentoring or coordinating colleagues on shift.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate MHE to support daily warehouse operations.
• Carry out core warehouse activities: goods intake, put-away, picking, packing, despatch.
• Act as senior presence on the shop floor.
• Organise daily workloads and ensure resources meet requirements.
• Monitor productivity and accuracy to meet customer service standards.
• Support stock accuracy through inventory control.
• Promote a safe working culture and housekeeping.
• Provide supervisor/manager cover when required.
