RVT Group is seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Support Operative to join our hire operations team in the UK. You will prepare hire equipment for dispatch, fit accessories, assemble kits, and ensure items are clean and ready for delivery.

The role emphasizes accurate picking and packing, liaising with drivers and desk staff, maintaining a safe workspace, and supporting goods-in tasks. Training and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience is essential.
• Supervisory experience at supervisor/team leader level is an advantage.
• Ability to communicate with other departments via email/Teams/calls.
• Ability to prioritise workloads to meet targets.

Responsibilities

• Prepare hire equipment for dispatch by checking condition, cleanliness and functionality.
• Fit required accessories and components to main units according to requirements.
• Assemble part-build kits and ensure all components are included and secured.
• Accurately pick and pack hire orders based on notes or system lists.
• Receive goods, process and clean equipment, and perform quality checks.
• Coordinate with hire desk, drivers and warehouse staff for timely dispatch.
• Label equipment and complete paperwork or system entries.
• Maintain a tidy, safe working area and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
• Assist with goods-in, stock rotation and general warehouse duties.

This role focuses on the preparation of hire equipment for dispatch, including the fitting of relevant accessories and part-building of kits to customer specifications, alongside the return and cleaning of the equipment. The successful candidate will ensure all items are ready for delivery in excellent condition and meet operational and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare hire equipment for dispatch by checking condition, cleanliness, and functionality.
• Fit required accessories and components to main units according to job or customer requirements.
• Assemble part-build kits (where applicable), ensuring all components are included and secured.
• Accurately pick and pack hire orders based on dispatch notes or system-generated lists.
• Accurately receive goods and process and clean equipment.
• Perform quality checks on all outgoing items to ensure they are safe, clean, and ready for immediate use.
• Communicate with the hire desk, drivers, and other warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate dispatch.
• Label equipment and complete relevant paperwork or system entries.
• Maintain a tidy, organised, and safe working area.
• Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and contribute to a positive safety culture.
• Assist in general warehouse duties when required, including goods-in and stock rotation.
