Job summary

PURPOSE OF ROLE

To support the warehouse team achieve the receipt of goods in, despatch and kitting function targets and standards.

Work area and hours maybe subject to change dependent upon the needs of the business, hours potentially days, evenings, nights and weekends.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supporting the delivery of goods in and the picking and despatch of goods out and also the movement of goods within the warehouse area from the production area
• Checking the quality of items despatched and delivered, check for defective goods and faulty items, highlighting any discrepancies to the supervisor
• Highlighting any warehouse system or H&S concerns with equipment, systems or processes with supervisor or manager
• Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment, following company process and procedures
• Ensuring health and safety procedures and other company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
• Any other duty as required as a reasonable management request
• Supporting other team members with tasks as and when required

ROLE TASKS

• Complete any tasks outstanding from the previous day
• Collect the pick list as required, pick and pack stock, following the company process and procedure
• Ensure that items are picked, located, delivered and despatched correctly by correct count and accuracy
• Liaise with production to ensure that items are booked into warehouse from production
• Ensure items are located correctly and warehouse stock operating procedures are followed
• Check the deliveries of items, find the locations via handheld scanner
• Drive the FLT and the Flexi truck vehicles within the warehouse environment in a safe and considerate manner
• Ensure that the work area is maintained in a clean and tidy manner, clean as you go, ensure any spillages are reported directly
• Ensure that the rotational stock system, first in first out, is followed in line with process and procedure
• Follow the staffing rotational system in line with the schedule or in line with the supervisors or managers request
• Report any defective work equipment, machinery or potential health and safety risks to the supervisor or Manager.
• Wear PPE as supplied and directed
