Overview

We are looking to recruit a Warehouse Supervisor at our distribution centre in Appleton, Warrington. This is a permanent full-time position working the NIGHT shift (6pm - 6am), on a 4-on-4-off cycle (including weekends).

Responsibilities

• Utilise available resources to maximise efficiency in order to achieve and exceed KPI`s.
• Plan, manage and adjust staffing levels to meet daily operational requirements within the warehouse.
• Provide a safe working environment by adhering to Site Health & Safety procedures and ensuring these are understood and practiced by the entire team.
• Ensure high levels of hygiene and housekeeping in the warehouse at all times.
• Deliver team member performance reviews, development and/or succession planning as appropriate.
• Address any performance issues or training needs.
• Continuously monitor, review and act upon operational reports to maintain quality and performance; escalate any potential issues to the Warehouse Manager as needed.
• Manage new starters to receive comprehensive induction training and ensure team members are multi-skilled through planned training, coaching and development.
• Measure improvement in performance and increase responsibility, promoting a culture of employee engagement.
• Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain a high level of customer focus and service.
• Conduct team briefings daily/weekly as required, discussing issues that may affect the working environment.
• Maintain a proven track record using a WMS.

Qualifications / Who we're looking for

• A proven track record of cost savings, productivity improvements, quality control and error reduction.
• Excellent team building, leadership and motivational skills.
• Ability to communicate in an open and honest manner with the team, transport and the customer.
• Commitment, enthusiasm and flexibility to work various shift patterns to respond to customer demand.
• Experience of HR-related activities; performance reviews, appraisal, disciplinary and grievance handling, and good knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.
• Monitor inbound or outbound trunks to ensure SLAs are strictly adhered to.
• Based at our site in Appleton, Warrington; flexible approach to working hours with 12-hour shifts on a 4-on-4-off cycle (including weekends).
