Job summary

Pertemps Bristol Industrial in Yate is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead a busy distribution team. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, with responsibilities for workload allocation, supervising staff and ensuring safe handling of goods.

You will train and develop staff, monitor performance and ensure health and safety standards, using Excel and SAP to manage warehouse information. Salary £35,000–£40,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse supervisory or management experience.
• Good working knowledge of Excel.
• SAP experience would be a strong advantage.
• Previous fleet management experience would be preferable.
• Strong people management and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the warehouse team on a day-to-day basis.
• Allocate workloads and ensure daily targets are achieved.
• Oversee organisation and workflow of the warehouse.
• Monitor team performance and maintain high productivity.
• Train and motivate warehouse staff.
• Manage stock, materials and equipment effectively.
• Ensure goods are stored, handled and moved safely and efficiently.
• Oversee warehouse processes and ensure procedures are followed.
• Assist with fleet management and vehicle coordination where required.
• Maintain accurate warehouse records and documentation.
• Use Excel to manage and monitor warehouse information.
• Use SAP systems where required.
• Identify and resolve day-to-day operational issues.
• Report issues to senior management.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized and secure.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed.
