Job summary

Saab UK is recruiting a Stores Operative to join our Fareham site as part of Saab Seaeye. You will receive goods, process stock, pick orders and prepare items for dispatch in accordance with the MRP schedule, and maintain accurate stock records.

You'll work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, lifting and handling stock safely, using ERP systems, and ensuring an organised, clean store area with safe storage and stock rotation.

Qualifications

• Previous Warehouse or Stores experience desired.
• Previous experience of working at height is required.
• Previous Experience with ERP Systems.
• Experience with forklifts desirable.
• Enthusiastic and hardworking.
• Willing to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Accurately receive goods and processing via MRP, including scanning and booking in problems with purchasing.
• Label and pack stock to ensure easy identification and protection from contamination/damage.
• Pick work orders and sales orders using picking lists with high accuracy.
• Perform general stores activities: loading, unloading, sorting, cleaning and stock movements.
• Follow manual handling guidelines and use lifting equipment as appropriate.
• Keep yard organised, clean and stock located safely with proper COSHH storage.
• Assist in waste collection processing and respond to hatch enquiries with urgency.
• Process online requisitions accurately and update daily KPI and product/location data.
• Maintain stores equipment and vehicles and report malfunctions to the Materials Supervisor.
• Ensure high stock accuracy and report discrepancies promptly.
• Ensure orders are packed and labelled for courier collections; order packing materials timely.
• Undertake other duties as required by Head of Unit.
