Job summary

Pertemps Crawley is seeking a reliable Warehouse Stores Person to join our busy team in Crawley. The role focuses on smooth day-to-day stores operations, ensuring goods are received, stored and dispatched accurately in a safe, tidy warehouse environment.

The successful candidate will have warehouse or stock-control experience, good organisational skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team. A forklift licence is advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse or stock-control environment.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Outstanding attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Capable of physical duties including lifting and moving stock.
• Basic computer skills for updating stock systems and records.
• Forklift licence would be advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check and book in deliveries accurately.
• Load and unload goods safely.
• Pick, pack and prepare orders for dispatch.
• Issue parts, materials and equipment to internal teams.
• Maintain stock records and complete regular stock checks.
• Investigate stock discrepancies or damaged items.
• Organise stock and ensure proper labelling and storage.
• Monitor stock levels and notify replenishment needs.
• Complete goods-in, goods-out and delivery paperwork.
• Keep the warehouse and stores area clean and organised.
• Follow health and safety and company procedures.
• Support the wider warehouse and logistics team as needed.
