Job summary

Brampton Recruitment Ltd seeks an enthusiastic Warehouse & Storage Tutor/Trainer to join the Stoke-on-Trent area team. This full-time, permanent role requires a strong background in warehousing, logistics or supply chain and a teaching qualification to deliver classroom and practical training.

The successful candidate will support learners on Level 2 Warehouse and Storage qualifications and related programmes, assess progress, provide feedback, and embed English, Maths and digital skills

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging classroom sessions and practical training in warehouse, storage, logistics and supply chain operations.
• Deliver Level 2 Warehouse and Storage qualifications and Level 2 Business Improvement Techniques.
• Assess learners via observations, discussions, portfolio assessments and other methods.
• Provide feedback, coaching and support to help learners achieve qualifications on time.
• Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records and learning plans.
• Support apprentices and communicate with employers effectively.
• Prepare learners for End-Point Assessment where applicable.
• Embed English, Maths, digital skills and employability into delivery.
• Assist with CV prep, interview techniques and progression into employment.

Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Warehouse & Storage Tutor/Trainer to join our client based in the Stoke-on-Trent area. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in warehousing, storage, logistics or supply chain operations who can deliver engaging classroom-based and practical training. The successful candidate will support learners undertaking warehouse and storage qualifications, logistics programmes and associated courses, therefore a Teaching qualification is essential for this role.

Job Description for the Warehouse & Storage Tutor/Trainer role:

• Planning and delivering engaging classroom sessions and practical training activities tailored to individual learner needs relating to warehouse, storage, logistics and supply chain operations
• Delivering Level 2 Warehouse and Storage qualifications and associated vocational programmes including Level 2 Business Improvement Techniques
• Assessing learners against qualification and apprenticeship requirements through observations, professional discussions, portfolio assessments and other appropriate methods.
• Providing constructive feedback, coaching and support to help learners achieve their qualifications within agreed timescales
• Monitoring learner progress and maintaining accurate records, individual learning plans and progress reviews
• Supporting apprentices and maintaining effective communication with employers
• Preparing learners for End-Point Assessment where applicable
• Embedding English, Maths, digital skills, employability and personal development into training delivery
• Supporting learners with CV preparation, interview techniques and progression into employment where appropriate
• Ensuring training and assessment activities meet awarding organisation, funding and internal quality requirements
• Participating in standardisation, quality assurance, staff development and continuing professional development activities
• Contributing to the continuous improvement and development of warehouse and logistics training provision

Candidate Requirements for the Warehouse & Storage Tutor/Trainer role:

• Relevant occupational experience in warehousing, storage, logistics, supply chain operations or lean manufacturing
• Must hold a teaching or training qualification
• Ideally have a recognised assessor qualification, such as TAQA, A1, D32/D33 or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards one
• Preferably hold an FLT licence
• Experience delivering training, coaching, mentoring or assessment in a workplace or educational environment
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Good IT and digital skills
• The ability to motivate and engage learners from a range of backgrounds and abilities
• A commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
• A strong commitment to Health & Safety and maintaining professional standards
• Must be able to complete an Enhanced DBS

This role would suit candidates with the following experience: Warehouse & Storage Tutor, Warehouse Trainer, Logistics Trainer, Warehousing and Logistics Lecturer, Supply Chain Tutor, Warehouse & Storage Assessor, Forklift Truck (FLT) Instructor or Trainer, Manufacturing Trainer.

This role is commutable from: Stoke on Trent, Newcastle under Lyme, Crewe, Stone, Stafford, Keele, Market Drayton, Leek and surrounding areas

Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:30 am 5.00 pm / Friday 9:00 am 3:00 pm

Salary: £30,000 Per Annum
