Job summary

Howdens Joinery is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Person to play a key role in keeping stock organised and ready for collection or delivery. You will contribute to a safe, efficient depot operation and support trade customers with a professional service.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of stock control and health and safety.
• Forklift licence is desirable.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail, especially when handling stock and maintaining accurate records.
• Good literacy, numeracy and time management skills.
• Customer-focused with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Clear communication and strong organisational and planning skills.
• Reliable, hands on and takes pride in a safe, tidy warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Unload deliveries and check stock accurately in line with health and safety standards.
• Carry out daily checks on forklift trucks and equipment.
• Ensure stock is secure and prepared for dispatch.
• Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate records.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organised and efficient through stock rotation.
• Support trade customers with professional and helpful service.
• Assist with deliveries, collections and general warehouse operations.
• Work closely with the depot team to keep operations running smoothly.
