Warehouse Shift Manager

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Shift Manager. This role involves working closely with the on-site operational team to develop a deep understanding of key customer needs and ensure the site meets their expectations. By analyzing customer forecasts, the Warehouse Shift Manager will oversee resource planning to maintain seamless operations and deliver exceptional service.

What does the role entail?

As part of your duties, while maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

• Manage a safe operation and role model a Safety First Culture by applying and improving Safety Standards.
• Implement Behavioural Based Safety (BBS) program as a daily practice to confirm behaviours and processes.
• Conduct incident investigations within the workplace, ensuring adherence to relevant safety regulations and procedures.
• Understand health and safety risks in your area and take actions to eliminate or minimize these risks according to an agreed plan.
• Ensure that Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) are up to date, accessible, and followed by employees.
• Track operational performance and understand deviations, supporting your team with necessary resources.

What do we need from you?

• At least 12 months of experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of management experience and 3 years in warehouse operations is required.
• Ability to deploy and adjust resource allocations during shifts in response to changing requirements.
• Ability to drive standards within the team.
