Job summary

Lidl UK is hiring a Shift Leader to run a warehouse shift, lead a team, coach and train colleagues, and ensure smooth operations. You’ll line manage, lead shifts, work with department managers, and promote efficient practices.

The role includes night shifts, 40 hours per week, and a strong benefits package with training and career progression. Rewards include £30,000–£37,000 per year, 30–35 days’ holiday pro rata, an in-store discount, pension, and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Line manage an amazing team, supporting development, coaching and training.
• Lead shifts for your area and manage colleague performance and direct reports.
• Collaborate with other Shift Leaders and the RDC to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist the Department Manager with daily operations and people management.
• Motivate and support the team, aligning with Company Values.
• Mentor colleagues and support training for the team.
• Promote efficient working methods and highlight inefficiencies.
• Perform general warehouse duties like moving stock, picking goods and processing returns.

• Line manage an amazing team, supporting them with all the development, coaching and training they need to succeed
• Lead the shifts for your area, taking responsibility for colleague performance and your direct reports
• Work closely with other Shift Leaders within your department and across the RDC to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the operations
