Job summary

Lidl is seeking a Shift Leader to help run operations in our warehouse, leading by example and ensuring the daily impact of your team is visible. You’ll open, run and close shifts, train new starters and support colleagues to maintain strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Line manage an amazing team, supporting development, coaching and training.
• Lead the shifts for your area, responsible for colleague performance.
• Coordinate with other Shift Leaders to ensure smooth operations.
• Support the Department Manager with daily operations and personnel management.
• Motivate and support your team, aligned with Company Values.
• Mentor colleagues and support on training.
• Promote efficient working methods and spot inefficiencies.
• Perform general warehouse duties like moving stock, picking goods and returns.

Summary

£30,000 - £37,000 per annum | 40 hours contract | Temp control shift | Shift time availability: 08:30-18:30 with flexibility required | 30-35 days' holiday (pro rata) | 10% in-store discount | Ongoing training

As a Shift Leader at Lidl, you’ll help run operations in one of our warehouses, leading by example to see the impact of what you do at the end of every day. From opening, running and closing shifts to training new starters, you’ll have plenty of chances to get stuck in and make a big impact on your colleagues. What you'll do

• Line manage an amazing team, supporting them with all the development, coaching and training they need to succeed
• Lead the shifts for your area, taking responsibility for colleague performance and your direct reports
• Work closely with other Shift Leaders within your department and across the RDC to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the operations
• Support your Department Manager with daily operations and personnel management
• Motivate and support your team, learning from our Company Values
• Mentor your colleagues and supporting your team’s training
• Proactively promote efficient working methods, highlighting inefficiencies when you spot them
• Efficiently perform general warehouse operative duties like moving stock, picking goods and processing returns
