Job summary

Rentokil Initial is hiring a Warehouse/Service Support Operative in Birmingham. You will support the Service Manager to keep the warehouse running smoothly, handling stock preparation for routes, loading/unloading, and covering driver routes when needed.

The role offers a 40-hour week, with potential overtime and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence held for more than two years, with no more than six penalty points.
• Previous experience working within a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Organised, self-motivated and reliable.
• Demonstrate clear and confident communication skills with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to use own initiative and have a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
• DBS check may be required depending on the role.

Responsibilities

• Preparing customer stocks for route delivery.
• Assisting drivers with loading and unloading of vehicles.
• Covering Service Driver routes when required.
• Working with drivers and management to ensure stocks are prepared for delivery.
• Packing, sorting and segregation of mats, rolls, sanitary bins and other customer stocks.
• Organising the work area to ensure an efficient service centre.
• Focusing on meeting customer service expectations.

The Warehouse/Service Support Operative Role

In this role, you will support the Service Manager to ensure the service in our Warehouse runs smoothly. Based in the Birmingham branch, you will be working with your colleagues to create an efficient and safe environment throughout the facility. Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing customer stocks for route delivery
• Assisting our drivers with loading and unloading of vehicles
• Covering Service Driver routes when required
• Working closely with drivers and management to ensure customer stocks are prepared for delivery
• Completing daily tasks such as packing, sorting and segregation of mats, rolls, sanitary bins, nappy bins and other customer stocks
• Organising work area to ensure that the service Centre is efficient and effective
• Focusing on meeting customer service expectations

Requirements:
