Job summary

Rentokil Initial in Fareham is seeking a Warehouse Operative to support the Service Manager and keep the warehouse running smoothly. Based at the Fareham branch, you’ll pack, load, and prepare stocks for delivery, collaborating with drivers and colleagues in a fast-paced environment.

No prior experience required as full training is provided. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a potential for overtime at higher pay.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence for more than two years with no more than six penalty points.
• Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not required.
• Organised, self-motivated and reliable with good communication skills.
• May require a DBS check depending on the role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer stocks for route delivery.
• Assist drivers with loading and unloading of vehicles.
• Work with drivers and management to ensure stocks are ready for delivery.
• Pack, sort and segregate mats, rolls and bins daily.
• Keep the work area organized to maintain an efficient service centre.
• Focus on meeting customer service expectations.

The Warehouse Operative Role

In this role, you will support the Service Manager to ensure the service in our Warehouse runs smoothly. Based in the Fareham branch, you will be working with your colleagues to create an efficient and safe environment throughout the facility. Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing customer stocks for route delivery
• Assisting our drivers with loading and unloading of vehicles
• Working closely with drivers and management to ensure customer stocks are prepared for delivery
• Completing daily tasks such as packing, sorting and segregation of mats, rolls, sanitary bins, nappy bins and other customer stocks
• Organising work area to ensure that the service centre is efficient and effective
• Focussing on meeting customer service expectations

Requirements

Warehouse Operative Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence held for more than two years, with no more than six penalty points
• Previous experience working within a warehouse or logistics environment
• Organised, self-motivated and reliable
• Demonstrate clear and confident communication skills with customers and colleagues
• Ability to use own initiative and have a positive ‘can do' attitude
• You may be required to pass a DBS check depending on the role you have applied for
