Job summary

Barrett Steel Limited, via Dragon Steel Services at Saltney, is seeking a Warehouse Operative to pick orders, load and offload steel, and support stock control in a fast-paced environment.

Shift hours are Monday to Thursday 8:00–16:45 and Friday 7:00–15:45. Benefits include a highly competitive hourly rate, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, life assurance, and access to health and wellbeing services.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Warehouse Operative; steel industry or heavy industry background considered an asset.
• Flexible attitude, results-oriented, team player.
• Forklift/FLT experience desirable; training available.
• Strong commitment to Health & Safety.
• Driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pick computer generated orders with repetitive handling and lifting of heavy items.
• Load, cut (saws) and offload steel.
• Ensure stock documentation is accurate.
• Transfer stock to locations using a forklift.
• Assist production and dispatch of customer orders.
• Keep work area clean and comply with Health & Safety.
