Job summary

Barrett Steel Limited is seeking a Warehouse Saw Operative for its Advanced Steel Services site in Preston. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, within a fast-paced environment where accuracy and safety matter most.

You will pick orders, load and cut steel, transfer stock with forklift or side loader, and support production and dispatch. We value team players who are reliable, safety-conscious and flexible.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Warehouse Operative.
• Flexibility and teamwork are essential.
• Forklift/side-loader experience desirable with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Pick computer generated orders and handle heavy/large items.
• Load, cut and offload steel.
• Ensure stock documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Move stock using forklift, side loader and overhead crane.
• Assist in production and dispatch of orders.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow health & safety procedures.
