Peter Green Chilled is seeking a proactive Warehouse Pick Manager to lead our picking operation. You will motivate and develop the picking team, plan daily workloads and drive productivity to ensure accurate, on-time order fulfilment.

Reporting to the Warehouse and Operations Management Team, you will monitor KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and implement improvements. The role requires strong leadership, communication and a hands-on approach in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Picker Manager at Peter Green Chilled to lead our warehouse picking operation. As a highly regarded growing business (over 200 employees) in our industry, we supply fast moving consumer goods daily to major retailers across the UK and Europe. You will be responsible for motivating and developing the picking team, driving productivity, maintaining high levels of accuracy, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the picking function.

This is a brand new leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can inspire teams to achieve targets, and demonstrates a strong track record of delivering results through effective people management.

Reporting into the Warehouse and Operations Management Team, the Picker Manager will play a key role in ensuring customer orders are picked accurately, efficiently and on time.

About the role

• Lead, motivate and develop the warehouse picking team to achieve daily performance targets with a proactive, solutions focussed approach.
• Plan and allocate daily workloads as well as monitor and manage individual and team pick rates, ensuring productivity expectations are consistently met.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and feedback sessions with team members, promoting immediate feedback conversations.
• Support day-to-day people management activities, including attendance management, absence monitoring and other relevant duties.
• Drive a positive, high-performance culture within the picking operation.
• Ensure orders are picked accurately and on schedule to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Monitor departmental KPIs and implement action plans to improve performance where required.
• Train and support new starters, ensuring adherence to company procedures and best practices.
• Ensure all health and safety policies and warehouse procedures are always followed.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality and efficiency.
• Produce and communicate daily/weekly performance updates to the Warehouse and Operations Management Team and General Manager.

About You

• Previous experience in a warehouse leadership role such as Picker Supervisor, Team Leader, Warehouse Supervisor or similar.
• Proven ability to motivate teams and drive operational performance through leadership.
• Experience managing ambitious productivity targets and performance KPIs.
• Confident in addressing performance issues and providing constructive feedback.
• Strong understanding of how to engage, motivate and develop warehouse teams while holding people accountable for high-performance standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Good understanding of warehouse operations and order-picking processes.
• Knowledge of warehouse health and safety requirements.

This role is 45 hours per week on a shift basis of 5 days in 7.
