Impact Recruitment is recruiting for a Warehouse Order Picker in Northampton. The role is based at the National Distribution Centre with opportunities for temp-to-perm conversion. Shifts include AM, PM, and Night options, and staff receive benefits like paid breaks, overtime, and a supportive team.

You will handle order picking, packing, scanning, and safe movement of goods. The ideal candidate has forklift/LLOP/PPT experience, can work in a fast-paced environment, and is seeking long-term work

Qualifications

• Must have experience on forklift or LLOP/PPT utilities.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional heavy lifting.
• Looking for long-term ongoing work (no students or part-time).

Responsibilities

• Pick items for dispatch in a timely, accurate manner.
• Package items for dispatch to a high-quality standard.
• Use a hand scanner to ensure correct stock is dispatched to the customer.
• Use a pallet truck or PPT to move heavier items.
• Follow voice picking guidance to locations.
• Maintain health and safety, wear Hi-Viz and safety boots.
• Keep the work area clean and safe.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Shift 06:00am – 14:00pm

£13:43/hr up to 37.5hrs worked. (£12.87 basic plus £0.58 shift allowance if 8hrs worked)

£19.84/hr after 37.5hrs worked.

£25.74/hr after midday on a Saturday/Sunday and Weekends.

Shift 14:00pm – 22:00pm

£14.03/hr up to 37.5hrs worked. (£12.87 basic plus £1.16 shift allowance if 8hrs worked)

£19.84/hr after 37.5hrs worked.

£25.74/hr after midday on a Saturday/Sunday and Weekends.

Shift 22:00pm – 06:00am

£15.33/hr up to 37.5hrs worked. (£12.87 basic plus £2.46 shift allowance if 8hrs worked)

In this Warehouse Order Picker role you will need to be able to do the following.

• Work an AM shift 0600-1400 Monday to Friday or PM shift 1400-2200pm Monday to Friday or Nightshift 2200-0600 Sunday to Thursday
• You must have experience on either a Forklift or LLOP / PPT is essential. Refreshers will be provided but due to the fast-paced nature of the business it’s important you are a competent driver.
• Work in a fast paced environment with occasional heavy lifting involved.
• Be looking for long term ongoing work.(No students or part time work)
• Full training is provided.

Duties To Include

• Picking Items for dispatch in a timely, accurate manner
• Packaging Items for dispatch to a high-quality standard
• Using a hand scanner to ensure correct stock is dispatched to the correct customer.
• Using a pallet truck or PPT to pick heavier items from the grid.
• Using voice picking headset to be guided to locations.
• Ensuring all health and safety requirements are always met, wear Hi-Viz and S3 Safety Boots.
• Keeping your work area clean and safe
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
