Job description

As part of our Operations Team, you'll play an important role in consistently delivering high-quality hides that meet our customer requirements and expectations. Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you'll follow established processes and standards while taking ownership of Health and Safety, quality, housekeeping, and production performance. With a proactive and positive approach, you'll work closely with your colleagues and Supervisor to deliver results and contribute to a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

In this role you will:
  • Work safely and consistently to Standard Operational Procedures, ensuring all production activities meet required quality and performance standards
  • Take personal responsibility for Health and Safety, actively contributing to our Zero Tolerance approach and promoting safe working practices for yourself and others
  • Deliver production targets and quality standards, ensuring finished hides consistently meet customer requirements and expectations
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment through effective housekeeping and the consistent application of 5S principles
  • Work proactively with your Supervisor and wider team to identify issues, resolve problems, and ensure production remains on track
  • Work as an effective team player, setting high standards for yourself and leading by example through positive behaviours and a strong work ethic
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and Supervisors, ensuring information is shared appropriately and expectations are understood
  • Demonstrate flexibility and initiative by responding positively to change, embracing new ways of working, and proactively identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and performance
You’re someone who takes pride in doing a job well. You understand the importance of working safely, maintaining high standards, and delivering quality results every day. You're reliable, motivated, and comfortable working as part of a team, while also having the confidence to take ownership, identify problems, and act to find solutions.
  • You will ideally have previous experience working in an operational, manufacturing, or production environment, although a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important
  • You are confident, self-motivated, resilient, and able to thrive in a fast-paced working environment
  • You take Health and Safety seriously and understand your responsibility for maintaining a safe environment for yourself and those around you
  • You have strong attention to detail and take pride in delivering accurate, complete, and high-quality work
  • You are a committed team player who communicates effectively, listens to others, and works collaboratively towards shared goals
  • You are organised and able to prioritise your workload, manage your time effectively, and maintain focus on achieving production targets
  • You are flexible and open to change, with a willingness to learn new skills, try new approaches, and continuously develop yourself
  • You are proactive and solutions-focused, able to use your own initiative, identify issues, and take action to resolve problems and prevent them from recurring
  • You are physically capable of lifting and manoeuvring finished hides safely as part of the role
The impact you will have:

You will play a vital role in ensuring we consistently deliver high-quality products to our customers while maintaining the highest standards of Health and Safety. By following established processes, taking ownership of quality and housekeeping, and delivering against production targets, you'll contribute directly to the performance and success of the operation.

Working as part of a supportive and collaborative team, you'll help identify and resolve issues, respond positively to changing priorities, and look for opportunities to improve the way we work. Your proactive approach, attention to detail, and commitment to doing things right will help create a safe, efficient, and high-performing manufacturing environment.

Through your contribution, you'll help build a culture where everyone takes responsibility for safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement. By setting high standards, supporting your colleagues, and taking pride in your work, you'll help us consistently deliver exceptional products and service to our customers.

What’s in it for you:

You’ll benefit from a comprehensive rewards package designed to support your wellbeing, financial security, and career development. This includes a company pension, life assurance, company sick pay, enhanced annual leave that increases with service, and access to a health and wellbeing programme alongside an Employee Assistance Programme with private GP services. You’ll also have opportunities to grow through coaching, training, and development support, plus practical perks such as cycle to work and electric vehicle schemes, free on-site parking, and access to a range of retail discounts.

We believe our strength comes from our people. We value diversity, encourage development, and create an environment where everyone can thrive.
