Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd is recruiting on behalf of our client in Haydock for Warehouse Operatives. Immediate start, temp-to-perm after 12 weeks, with a 01:30AM start. Pay rate £12.71 per hour. Location: DH2. A fast-paced warehouse role with manual handling of large appliances and heavy goods.

Responsibilities include sorting, labeling, loading/unloading, and collaborating to meet targets while maintaining safety standards. Must have own safety boots and hi-vis.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, logistics, or parcel sorting preferred but not required.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift packages of varying weights.
• Strong attention to detail for sorting and labeling of parcels.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Reliable transportation to the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Sort and organise incoming parcels, freight and large appliances according to routes and destinations.
• Safely move and lift heavy white goods in line with manual handling procedures.
• Operate conveyor belts, scanners, pallet trucks and other warehouse equipment.
• Label, scan and categorize parcels to minimise errors and maintain efficiency.
• Assist loading/unloading and maximise vehicle space usage.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain productivity and meet targets.
• Identify damaged parcels and follow reporting procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment following H&S rules.
• Follow company policies and security procedures in a fast-paced setting.

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our industry-leading client based Haydock . We are looking for multiple Warehouse Operatives to join the team.

Temp to perm opportunity after 12 weeks.

Available shift : 01:30AM start

Pay Rate: £12.71

Location: DH2

The role:

• Sorted and organised incoming parcels, freight, and large household appliances accurately and efficiently according to designated routes and destinations.
• Safely handled, moved, and lifted heavy white goods, including refrigerators, washing machines, cookers, and other large appliances, in accordance with manual handling procedures.
• Operated conveyor belts, handheld scanners, pallet trucks, and other warehouse equipment to support the efficient movement and sorting of goods.
• Ensured accurate labelling, scanning, and categorisation of parcels and bulky items to minimise errors and maintain operational efficiency.
• Assisted with the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles, securing freight and maximising vehicle space utilisation for safe transportation.
• Worked collaboratively with colleagues to maintain productivity, meet operational targets, and ensure the timely dispatch of goods.
• Identified damaged parcels or appliances and followed established procedures for reporting, documentation, and safe handling.
• Maintained a clean, organised, and safe working environment while adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Followed company policies, security procedures, and manual handling guidelines within a fast-paced warehouse and distribution setting.
• Demonstrated physical fitness, reliability, and attention to detail while handling high volumes of parcels and heavy goods throughout each shift.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in warehouse, logistics, or parcel sorting is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift packages of varying weights, must be comfortable with heavy lifting.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate sorting and labelling of parcels.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Team player with excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility to work night shifts and occasional overtime as needed.
• Reliable transportation to and from the warehouse location.
