Job summary

CSS Contracts Support Services Ltd is looking for reliable Warehouse Operatives to join a friendly and professional team in a well‑organised warehouse environment.

You will be trained to use scanners, pick items, pack high‑value goods, build boxes, and assist with occasional loading or unloading. Shifts are Sundays 9am–5pm and Mondays to Thursdays 6am–2pm, with a pay rate of £12.71 per hour.

Qualifications

• Warehouse experience is not essential.
• Demonstrates common sense and reliability.
• Strong attention to detail, especially with high‑value goods.
• Clear communication and teamwork.
• Proactive, with a good work ethic.
• Solid numeracy skills for counting and packing.
• Polite, courteous and well‑mannered.
• Eager to learn and adapt to the role.

Responsibilities

• Use scanners to pick items from trolleys.
• Pack high‑value goods into presentation boxes with tissue paper.
• Build boxes during training to understand sizing and products.
• Assist with occasional loading and unloading tasks when needed.

We are looking for reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operatives to join a friendly and professional team. This is a great opportunity to join a well-organised warehouse with excellent long-term progression opportunities.

Hours:

• Sunday - 9am – 5pm

• Monday - Thursday - 6am – 2pm

Pay Rate

£12.71 per hour

About the Role

You will be fully trained in all aspects of the warehouse, including:

• Using scanners to pick items from trolleys

• Carefully packing high-value goods into presentation boxes with tissue paper

• Building boxes during your first few hours to understand sizing and products

• There may also be occasional opportunities for ad hoc loading and unloading work

The Environment

• Clean, modern and well-maintained warehouse

• Not cold, but not overly warm (layers recommended in winter)

• Can get warm during summer months

• Friendly and diverse team (various nationalities including Lithuanian, Polish and English colleagues)
