Job summary

Adecco is recruiting for a Warehouse Operative in Didcot, Oxfordshire. The role is a 6-month temporary contract with potential for permanent progression and a 37-hour week, predominantly Monday to Friday. Applicants should have warehouse or stores experience and strive for accuracy in stock handling.

Typical duties include receiving and storing goods, picking and packing orders, and maintaining stock records. A Counterbalance FLT licence is highly desirable and overtime may be available.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, stores, logistics or stock control experience.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Basic IT and data entry skills.
• Manual handling experience is advantageous.
• A valid Counterbalance FLT licence is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, checking and storing incoming goods and materials.
• Picking, packing and preparing orders accurately within agreed timescales.
• Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Carrying out stock checks and inventory verification activities.
• Maintaining accurate stock records using warehouse systems and manual documentation.
• Supporting the organisation and upkeep of warehouse storage areas.
• Ensuring all products and materials are correctly labelled and stored.
• Operating warehouse equipment safely and in line with company procedures.
• Assisting with general warehouse administration and data entry tasks.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve operational targets.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance at all times.
