Job summary

Qualifications

• Warehouse, stores, logistics or stock control experience required.

• Counterbalance FLT licence desirable; forklift operating experience will be of interest.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring stock is received, stored, maintained and distributed safely and accurately. Key Responsibilities

• Receiving, checking and storing incoming goods and materials.
• Picking, packing and preparing orders accurately within agreed timescales.
• Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Carrying out stock checks and inventory verification activities.
• Maintaining accurate stock records using warehouse systems and manual documentation.
• Supporting the organisation and upkeep of warehouse storage areas.
• Ensuring all products and materials are correctly labelled and stored.
• Operating warehouse equipment safely and in line with company procedures.
• Assisting with general warehouse administration and data entry tasks.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve operational targets.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance at all times.

What We're Looking For

• Previous warehouse, stores, logistics or stock control experience.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Basic IT and data entry skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Manual handling experience is advantageous.
• A valid Counterbalance FLT licence is highly desirable. Candidates with current or recent forklift operating experience will be particularly of interest to the client.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment and mechanical handling equipment (MHE) is beneficial.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
