Job summary

Adecco is recruiting for a Warehouse Assistant / Stores Operative in Didcot, Oxfordshire. The role is a 6-month temporary contract with potential to become permanent, working 37 hours per week from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Warehouse, stores, logistics or stock control experience required.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy essential.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to plan.
• Basic IT and data entry skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Manual handling experience beneficial.
• Counterbalance FLT licence desirable; forklift operating experience will be of interest.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment (MHE) beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check and store incoming goods efficiently and accurately.
• Pick, pack and prepare orders within set timescales.
• Load and unload deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Carry out stock checks and inventory verification.
• Maintain accurate stock records using systems and paperwork.
• Keep warehouse storage areas tidy and well-organised.
• Label and store products correctly and safely.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely per procedures.
• Assist with warehouse admin and data entry tasks.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet targets and ensure safety standards.
