Job summary

Didcot, Oxfordshire based warehouse role seeking a Warehouse Assistant / Stores Operative. 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm (or 4:00pm end on Fridays). 6-month temporary contract with potential to go permanent.

Salary £118 per day PAYE, long-term prospects, and a fast-paced environment. The role involves stock receipt, storage, picking, packing, and accurate data entry. Overtime occasional, no weekend work required.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience is required.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational skills are essential.
• Basic IT and data entry skills needed.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills are important.
• A valid Counterbalance FLT licence is highly desirable.
• Candidates with forklift or MHE experience will be of interest.
• Manual handling experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, checking and storing incoming goods.
• Picking, packing and preparing orders within timescales.
• Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Carrying out stock checks and inventory verification.
• Maintaining stock records using warehouse systems and paperwork.
• Keeping storage areas organised and safe.
• Ensuring correct labelling and storage of products.
• Operating warehouse equipment safely per procedures.
• Assisting with general warehouse administration and data entry.
• Collaborating with colleagues to meet targets.
• Upholding health, safety and environmental standards.
