Job summary

Pertemps Bond is recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Operative / Controller to join the team in Highbridge. The role blends hands-on warehouse duties with stock control and admin, using Sage 50 for stock records.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years’ experience, holds a Reach Truck licence, and can manage goods in/out, picking, replenishment, and stock checks. Mon-Thu 07:30-17:00, up to £15.49 per hour, temp-to-perm opportunity.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years' experience within a warehouse controller or similar position.
• Proven Sage 50 experience for stock control, inventory management or order processing.
• Valid Reach Truck licence (RTITB, ITSSAR or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Record incoming goods, dispatches, stock adjustments and damages using Sage 50.
• Carry out stock checks and cycle counts; investigate discrepancies.
• Process purchase orders, pick lists and delivery notes through Sage 50.
• Operate Reach Truck to move stock within high-bay racking.
• Unload deliveries and verify against documentation.
• Prepare and stage outgoing orders for dispatch.
• Monitor stock levels and replenish locations.
• Pick, pack and label orders during busy periods.
• Complete forklift daily safety checks.
• Maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment.
• Collaborate with drivers and internal teams for smooth stock movement.

Pertemps are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Warehouse Operative / Controller to join their team in Highbridge.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional looking for a temp 2 perm position, combining hands‑on warehouse duties with stock control and administration.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock records using Sage 50, while also carrying out day‑to‑day warehouse duties including Reach Truck operation, goods in/out, picking and stock replenishment.

• Accurately record incoming goods, dispatches, stock adjustments and damages using Sage 50
• Carry out regular stock checks and cycle counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies
• Process purchase orders, pick lists and delivery notes through Sage 50
• Investigate stock variances, incorrect locations and delivery discrepancies
• Safely operate a Reach Truck to move and store stock within high‑bay racking
• Unload incoming deliveries and check goods against delivery documentation
• Prepare and stage outgoing orders for dispatch
• Monitor stock levels and replenish picking locations as required
• Pick, pack and label orders during busy periods
• Complete daily forklift safety checks
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe warehouse environment
• Work closely with drivers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure the smooth movement of stock

The Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate will ideally have:

• 2–3 years' experience within a warehouse controller, senior warehouse operative or similar position
• Proven experience using Sage 50, particularly for stock control, inventory management or order processing
• A valid and accredited Reach Truck licence (RTITB, ITSSAR or equivalent)
• Strong attention to detail and excellent stock accuracy
• Good organisational and time‑management skills
• The ability to investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
• A proactive, hands‑on approach to warehouse operations
• The ability to comfortably handle standard warehouse duties and work at height within high‑bay racking
