Job summary

Howdens Joinery in Sidcup is seeking a proactive Warehouse Person to join our in-stock operation. You will ensure stock accuracy and readiness for collection or delivery, while upholding high health and safety standards.

This hands-on role involves unloading deliveries, checking stock, and keeping records up to date. You’ll rotate stock, support trade customers, and work with the depot team to keep the operation running smoothly.

Qualifications

• A valid forklift licence is desirable.
• Strong stock control and health and safety understanding.
• Team player who can work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and records accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Unload deliveries and check stock in line with health and safety standards.
• Carry out daily checks on forklift trucks and equipment.
• Ensure stock is secure and prepared for dispatch with accuracy.
• Perform regular stock checks and maintain records.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organised and efficient through stock rotation.
• Support trade customers with a professional and helpful service.
• Assist with deliveries, collections and general warehouse operations.
• Work closely with the wider depot team to keep the operation running smoothly.
