Job summary

Radwell International in Newcastle Under Lyme is seeking a Warehouse Operative – Shipping & Logistics to join our hard-working team. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00, 40 hours per week, with a competitive hourly rate of £12.96 and access to private health and life insurance.

You’ll verify parcel details, prepare invoices, arrange courier collections, assist with import/export processes, and ensure orders are fulfilled accurately.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and proactive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Verify and input information for outgoing parcels - weight, dimensions, destination, description of goods.
• Create commercial invoices where required.
• Arrange collections from suppliers and customers using various courier platforms (DHL, UPS, FedEx).
• Reroute orders in line with import/export regulations and communicate customer requirements to relevant teams.
• Providing import clearance instructions to couriers and freight forwarders.
• Ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately, meeting quality standards and agreed timescales.
• Identify, resolve, or escalate issues as needed.
• Assisting in other areas of the operation where required.

The Role

Working in a proactive, organised, and motivated manner, you will demonstrate strong collaboration and communication skills while delivering a high level of quality and accuracy.

On a Daily Basis, You Will

About You

You are detail-oriented, proactive, and organised, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You take ownership of your work, demonstrate sound judgement, and communicate effectively with others.

In Addition, You Will Have

• Strong computer skills, with the ability to quickly learn and use new systems (role is primarily computer-based; Microsoft Office experience required)
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• The ability to prioritise tasks and manage your workload independently
• Confidence in decision-making and problem-solving
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• A proactive, flexible, and adaptable approach, with a willingness to learn new skills
• Experience of manual handling and health & safety practices within a warehouse environment

Desirable

• Experience using courier platforms such as DHL, UPS, or FedEx
• Experience shipping internationally & creating commercial invoices
• Familiar with providing import and export clearance information
