Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours/day
Working Hours: 08:30 - 16:30
Contract Type: Fixed-term contract (12 months)
About the Role:
We're hiring a Warehouse Operator for our Worthing site. In this hands-on role you'll join a small, fast-paced team managing inbound and outbound goods - ensuring repairs, parts, and equipment are received, processed, and shipped accurately and on time to support customer repairs and our global operations.
What You’ll Do:
Inbound (Receiving & Booking-In)
- Receive and check inbound repairs/materials against delivery notes and POs.
- Inspect for damage or discrepancies; escalation issues as needed.
- Process receipts and allocate stock in Oracle/MacPac.
- Store materials accurately and distribute repair items to relevant departments.
Outbound (Picking, Packing & Shipping)
- Pick, pack and check customer repairs, R&D items and project materials.
- Prepare shipping/export documentation in Oracle.
- Coordinate with carriers, prioritise urgent shipments, and dispatch accurately.
Inventory & Stock Control
- Maintain accurate stock records; conduct cycle counts and stock checks.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies; keep stores areas organised.
Systems & Administration
- Use Oracle/MacPac to receive, move, pick, ship and adjust stock.
- Generate pick lists, labels and shipping documents; file delivery/POD records.
- Enter customer orders into Oracle per company procedures.
Health, Safety & Housekeeping
- Follow H&S and environmental policies; operate equipment safely (pallet trucks, forklifts where trained).
- Ensure safe manual handling; keep areas clean and tidy; report hazards promptly.
Team Support & Collaboration
- Liaise with Service, R&D, Sales, Projects, Customer Support and Logistics.
- Support group companies with repairs, shipments and imports/exports.
- Help maintain service levels and contribute to site initiatives as needed.
What You’ll need to succeed:
Essential
- Warehouse/logistics experience, ideally covering goods-in and dispatch.
- Confidence using ERP systems for transactions.
- Strong attention to detail and methodical approach.
- Calm, organised under pressure; works well independently once trained.
- Good communication skills across departments.
- Comfortable with manual handling.
- Proactive attitude and strong team ethic.
- Able to work on-site in Worthing during required hours.
Desirable
- Valid forklift licence.
- Previous experience handling export documentation.
- Experience supporting global logistics operations.
