Job summary

XPO Logistics is seeking Warehouse Operatives for our site in Bury St Edmunds. You will join a busy warehouse, handling pallets, loading and unloading, and using MHE on a Monday–Friday 40-hour week with overtime opportunities.

The role starts with a competitive hourly rate and offers ongoing training and progression through XPO University. Initial training will cover safe operation of forklifts, loading procedures and warehouse best practices.

Qualifications

• FLT licence preferred.
• Willingness to learn and build a new career in warehousing.
• Interest or previous experience in warehousing is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate MHE safely and efficiently.
• Control and operate forklift trucks (FLT).
• Load and unload vehicles and store goods in an organized manner.
• Perform manual handling as required and follow safety procedures.

As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll be working in our busy warehouse facility, moving pallets, using MHE such as forklifts, loading and unloading vehicles. You’ll be working 40 hours (plus overtime) per week on the Monday to Friday shift 1200 starts. In return for your hard work, we’ll offer you a competitive hourly rate of £14.59. What You’ll Do On a Typical Day

• Using MHE in a safe manner
• Operating FLT’s
• Loading and loading our vehicles and storing goods in an organised manner
• There is a large amount of manual handling involving cages and larger items, so you must be happy to do the lifting and shifting!
