Job summary

shoezone in Leicester is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our PM shift on a part-time, permanent basis. You will unload and load deliveries, pick and pack orders, and despatch to stores and online customers.

Responsibilities

• Unloading/loading delivery vehicles into the warehouse
• Ensuring we have sufficient shoes in the pick face to meet store and online orders
• Picking and packing shoes using a hand-held scanner for despatch to the stores and for our digital customers
• Ensuring all picked and packed shoes are loaded onto our lorries accurately and in the correct manner for delivery to the stores
• Maintaining a clear and tidy warehouse and ensure any potential hazards are taken care of safely, quickly and efficiently

shoezonehas an opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to join our team based in our warehouse in Leicester to cover the PM Shift. You will join us on a part time (22.5 hours),permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary starting at a minimum of £21,553.13FTE.

Hours of work:

Friday - 14:30- 22:30, Saturday - 9:00- 17:00& Sunday -14:30- 22:30

We are a town centre, retail park and digital footwear retailer, offering low price and high-quality footwear for the whole family, with free next day delivery on all orders, seven days a week. We operate from 257 stores and have approximately 2,000 employees across the UK.

Our store portfolio consists of 50 town centre stores, which stock the core shoezone product range and 163 hybrid town centre stores and 44 larger retail park stores which also stock additional brands such as Skechers, Hush Puppies and Kickers.

During an average year we sell 14.5 million pairs of shoes per annum at an average retail price of £13.

The Warehouse Operative role:

Joining our team means you will contribute to the effective running of the warehouse to ensure we provide the best service to our stores and our ever growing digital business. There is a physical, manual handling element to this role.

This role is perfect for someone with or without warehouse experience. If you don’t have experience, you will receive all the training and equipment in order to succeed in the role.
