Job summary

GXO is expanding our Northampton team and seeking reliable, hardworking individuals for a permanent part-time Warehouse Operative role. Training will be full-time in week one, after which you move to a fixed part-time pattern.

Shifts available: Friday and Saturday 06:00-14:00 or 14:00-22:00. You may work across Northampton sites; full training provided. Forklift licence is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Able to work well in a team and follow instructions.
• Reliable, self-motivated and flexible in approach to work.
• Capable of reading instructions and counting accurately.
• Physically able to handle stock and use equipment safely.
• Previous warehouse experience or forklift licence is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Work safely as part of a team, following Health & Safety procedures.
• Pick, check, and handle stock accurately and efficiently.
• Operate basic warehouse and mechanical handling equipment safely.
• Maintain high quality standards and ensure orders are prepared correctly.
• Support warehouse efficiency through general housekeeping duties.

Job description

GXO is continuing to grow, and we are excited to be expanding our team of Warehouse Operatives in the Northampton area. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced, supportive operation where teamwork, quality, and reliability are key.

Our People Campus team supports multiple warehouse operations across Northampton, including sites in NN4 9BX, NN4 7JE, NN4 9FJ, NN4 5EZ, NN4 7BN and NN4 9EX. We are looking for reliable and hardworking individuals to join us in a permanent part-time Warehouse Operative role. This position offers a fixed working pattern, making it ideal for those looking to fit work around other commitments while benefiting from the security of a permanent role.

The available shift patterns are:

• Friday and Saturday 06:00-14:00
• Friday and Saturday 14:00-22:00

Please note that to complete your training and induction, you must be available to work full-time hours during your first week. Following successful completion of your induction, you will move onto your chosen part-time shift pattern.

You may be required to work across our Northampton sites to support business needs, so some flexibility with location is essential. Whether you already have warehouse experience or are looking to start a new career, full training will be provided. • Hourly rate: £12.71
• Unsociable hours premium of £1.00 per hour for hours worked between 18:00 and 22:00
