Job description

GXO is continuing to grow, and we are excited to be expanding our team of Warehouse Operatives in the Northampton area. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced, supportive operation where teamwork, quality, and reliability are key.

Our People Campus team supports multiple warehouse operations across Northampton, including sites in NN4 9BX, NN4 7JE, NN4 9FJ, NN4 5EZ, NN4 7BN and NN4 9EX.

We are looking for reliable and hardworking individuals to join us in a permanent part-time Warehouse Operative role. This position offers a fixed working pattern, making it ideal for those looking to fit work around other commitments while benefiting from the security of a permanent role.

The available shift patterns are:

• Sunday and Monday 06:00-14:00
• Sunday and Monday 14:00-22:00

• Hourly rate: £12.71
• Unsociable hours premium of £1.00 per hour for hours worked between 18:00 and 22:00

What you will do on a typical day:

• Work safely as part of a team, following Health & Safety procedures
• Pick, check, and handle stock accurately and efficiently
• Operate basic warehouse and mechanical handling equipment safely
• Maintain high quality standards and ensure orders are prepared correctly
• Support warehouse efficiency through general housekeeping duties

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Able to work well in a team and follow instructions.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and flexible in approach to work
• Capable of reading instructions and counting accurately
• Physically able to handle stock and use equipment safely
• Previous warehouse experience or forklift licence is desirable but not essential
