Job summary

Culina is seeking a dedicated warehouse operative for night shifts in our Chilled & Fresh division. The role involves loading and unloading goods, ensuring accurate paperwork, and maintaining high safety standards across inbound and dispatch activities.

You will help secure loads, meet productivity targets, and report any faults, while following HACCP guidelines and company policies. A positive, reliable attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a chilled/cold environment.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and maintain quality.
• Ability to understand verbal and numerical information.
• Conscientious and reliable with a can-do approach.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload product in line with company procedures.
• Complete inbound and dispatch documentation accurately.
• Report trailer or MHE faults per procedure; place VOR vehicles correctly.
• Ensure goods are picked and assembled as instructed.
• Secure dispatched loads prior to leaving loading bay.
• Meet productivity targets while maintaining standards.
• Follow Health & Safety policies and HACCP guidelines, challenging non-compliance.
• Receive and notify stock controller of customer returns.

Job Description

• To ensure you load/unload product strictly in line with the Company's policies and procedures.
• To ensure the correct documentation is completed for all inbound and dispatch loads.
• Reporting any trailer or MHE faults in line with Company procedures and ensuring VOR vehicles are placed in the designated areas.
• To remain vigilant in ensuring goods are picked and assembled accurately as per instructions.
• To ensure dispatched loads are properly secured prior to leaving the loading bay.
• To reach and maintain the standards required to meet the Company's productivity targets.
• Ensure all practices and procedures are safely carried out in line with the Company’s Health & Safety policy, SSOWs and HACCP regulations, where appropriate, and to challenge colleagues who fail to adhere to any such rules or regulations.
• Ensure customer returns are received, recorded and notified to the appropriate Stock Controller

Qualifications

• Ability to work within a chilled/cold environment
• Experience of working within an environment where achieving deadlines and quality of work are critical
• Understanding of verbal and numerical reasoning
