Job summary

DPD is seeking a warehouse operative in Lincoln for a fast-paced role where you will be on your feet all shift. You will load, scan and sort parcels, handle items up to 25kg and operate warehouse equipment safely. A strong work ethic and reliability are essential for success.

You will work across weekends with various start times, supported by full training, uniform and PPE. Join a close-knit team focused on delivering outstanding service every day.

Qualifications

• Experience in loading/unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parcels with precision and care.
• Scan and sort parcels to ensure correct routing.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain health, safety and housekeeping standards in the warehouse.
• Report discrepancies, damaged items or system issues to your supervisor.
• Work collaboratively to meet daily targets and shift objectives.

Contract Type: Permanent - 15 / 16 / 40 Hours Per Week

Days of Work: Multiple Different Days of work, including Weekends

Hours of Work: Various Different Start Times

This is a fast-paced, physical role and you will be on your feet all shift. As a warehouse operative, you will be the backbone of our operation, playing a critical role in DPD continuing to deliver outstanding service.

Key Duties Include:

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy
• Handling items up to 25kg (who needs a gym membership when you can keep fit whilst you work!)
• Using our technology systems to ensure every parcel gets to the right place at the right time
• Operating warehouse equipment including scanners, conveyor systems, and handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping throughout the warehouse environment
• Conducting quality control checks to verify parcel condition and accurate labelling and reporting any discrepancies, damaged items, or system issues to your supervisor promptly
• Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and shift objectives
• Adhering to attendance expectations and maintaining reliability throughout your shift
