Job summary

DPD UK in Bicester is seeking a Warehouse Operative for a permanent, 40-hour week, night shift role. You will be on your feet, loading, unloading, scanning and sorting parcels, contributing to timely deliveries.

Starting from a paid night shift at £14.93 per hour with enhanced overtime, the role offers full training, uniform and PPE, and a path from warehouse roles into management as part of our internal progression.

Qualifications

• Flexible to the shift pattern (Tue–Sat, 00:00–08:30).

Job Description

• Contract Type: Permanent – 40 Hours Per Week
• Days of Work: Tuesday - Saturday
• Hours of Work: 00:00 - 08:30

This is a fast-paced, physical role and you will be on your feet all shift. As a warehouse operative, you will be the backbone of our operation, playing a critical role in DPD continuing to deliver outstanding service.

Key Duties Include

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy
• Handling items up to 25kg (who needs a gym membership when you can keep fit whilst you work!)
• Using our technology systems to ensure every parcel gets to the right place at the right time
• Operating warehouse equipment including scanners, conveyor systems, and handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping throughout the warehouse environment
• Conducting quality control checks to verify parcel condition and accurate labelling and reporting any discrepancies, damaged items, or system issues to your supervisor promptly
• Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and shift objectives
• Adhering to attendance expectations and maintaining reliability throughout your shift

You’ll Receive: Full training from Day 1 and all required uniform and PPE
