Job summary

DPD UK is seeking a high-energy Warehouse Operative to join our Raunds team. This permanent, 32-hour per week role involves fast-paced, physical work on the warehouse floor, with full training from day one and provided uniform and PPE.

You will load, unload, scan and sort parcels, handle items up to 25 kg, operate scanners and conveyors, and uphold safety and quality standards. We offer benefits including paid nights at £14.93 per hour, career progression from within, milestone time-off,

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy.
• Handling items up to 25kg during shifts.
• Using technology systems to ensure parcels reach the right place at the right time.
• Operating warehouse equipment including scanners, conveyors and handling equipment safely.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeeping throughout the warehouse.
• Conducting quality checks and reporting discrepancies or damaged items to your supervisor.
• Working with teammates to meet daily targets and shift objectives.
• Adhering to attendance expectations and staying reliable throughout your shift.

Job Description

• Contract Type: Permanent – 32 Hours Per Week
• Days of Work: 4 from 7 - various shifts available
• Hours of Work: 00:00 to 08:30

This is a fast-paced, physical role and you will be on your feet all shift. As a warehouse operative, you will be the backbone of our operation, playing a critical role in DPD continuing to deliver outstanding service.

Key Duties Include:

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy
• Handling items up to 25kg (who needs a gym membership when you can keep fit whilst you work!)
• Using our technology systems to ensure every parcel gets to the right place at the right time
• Operating warehouse equipment including scanners, conveyor systems, and handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping throughout the warehouse environment
• Conducting quality control checks to verify parcel condition and accurate labelling and reporting any discrepancies, damaged items, or system issues to your supervisor promptly
• Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and shift objectives
• Adhering to attendance expectations and maintaining reliability throughout your shift

You’ll Receive: Full training from Day 1 and all required uniform and PPE
