Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting Night Warehouse Operatives for a Preston operation. The role is physically demanding with heavy manual handling and on-night shifts, Monday to Friday. You will sort, load, unload, scan parcels and keep the work area safe and efficient.

Ideal candidates are reliable, punctual and able to work well in a fast-paced team environment; prior warehouse experience is helpful but not essential. Weekly pay is provided.

Qualifications

• Able to undertake heavy manual labour for the duration of the shift.
• Capable of pulling loaded cages and moving parcels safely.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Sorting parcels quickly and accurately within the warehouse
• Loading and unloading parcels from trailers and containers
• Pulling and manoeuvring parcel cages around the warehouse
• Heavy lifting and manual handling throughout the shift
• Scanning and processing parcels using handheld devices
• Ensuring parcels are routed to the correct destinations
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
• Adhering to all health and safety procedures

Location: Preston, PR2

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday

Start Time: 9:00 PM

Shift Length: Typically 8-9 hours per shift

Pay Rate: £12.71

The Best Connection are currently recruiting NIGHT WAREHOUSE OPERATIVES to join the busy operation at our client in Preston. This is a physically demanding role suited to individuals who thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment and are comfortable with heavy manual handling.

Key Responsibilities

• Sorting parcels quickly and accurately within the warehouse
• Loading and unloading parcels from trailers and containers
• Pulling and manoeuvring parcel cages around the warehouse
• Heavy lifting and manual handling throughout the shift
• Scanning and processing parcels using handheld devices
• Ensuring parcels are routed to the correct destinations

• Adhering to all health and safety procedures

Requirements

• Ability to undertake heavy manual labour for the duration of the shift
• Comfortable pulling loaded cages and moving parcels safely

• Previous warehouse or parcel sorting experience is advantageous but not essential
