Job summary

GRS Group in Writtle, near Chelmsford, is hiring a Warehouse Operative / Merchandiser to join our on-site team. The role focuses on supporting ceramic sample board production, handling stock, and preparing orders with accuracy and care.

No prior experience required as full training is provided; the job offers a fixed hourly rate of £12.71, a 23‑day holiday allowance plus bank holidays, access to GP Line, and an Employee Assistance Programme.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to create ceramic sample boards to company standards.
• Cut ceramic tile samples (full training provided; PPE supplied).
• Assist with general warehouse duties, including stock handling and organisation.
• Pick and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation across the warehouse and production areas.
• Support day-to-day operational needs as required.
• Responsibility for compliance and discharging legal duties with regards to HR and Health & Safety to promote a safe, equitable and legally compliant work place.
